Covenant Health in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency GNCH unit at Grey Nuns Community Hospital. The role is Regular Part Time (0.63 FTE) with shifts rotation, providing urgent and specialized care within a busy ED environment.

The RN will perform assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient education, while ensuring documentation and escalation follow Covenant Health standards and UNA collective agreement guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent required.
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) required.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
• If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years, completion of CRNA Medication Administration and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources certifications is required.

Responsibilities

• The RN participates in assessments, care planning, implementing treatments, administering medications, evaluating responses, and documenting progress.
• Acts as advocate, coordinator and liaison for patient/resident; collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and coordinates discharge planning.
• Provides patient/family education, supports in charge nurse capacity when required, and delivers care per Covenant Health standards.
