Reporting to a Manager within Emergency Preparedness and working with teams from various zones and Nova Scotia Health provincial programs; the Emergency Preparedness Consultant will have a focus on Continuity Planning and our Business Continuity Program. The Consultant will also be responsible for coordinating activities within designated areas of responsibility related to education & training, emergency exercising, emergency planning, response and continuity planning. The Consultant works under the authority of a manager and is responsible for participating in the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of all components of a comprehensive and provincially integrated emergency preparedness program. The Consultant will also work with the Emerging and Re-Emerging Infections Network (ERIN) on outbreak and pandemic planning. The Consultant is committed to achieving the best outcomes in healthcare and service delivery, safe care, and continuous improvement to meet or exceed all accreditation and legislative requirements.

Hours$38.36 - $47.95 Hourly
