Northern Health is seeking locum physicians to work in the Fort St. John Hospital Emergency Department in Fort St. John, British Columbia. The hospital is a level 4 trauma center.
You can expect to see an average of 25-30 patients per shift. Travel and accommodation are covered. Travel stipend ranges from $250 to $1,500 based on the time, with a maximum of $1,500 per round trip.
FFS. You can expect to earn $3,380 - $4,030 per shift, which includes a $1,000 shift stipend, 21.70% MSP Premium, and $25.68 MOCAP. Travel, accommodation, and car rental are covered.
Fort St. John Hospital is a state-of-the-art 55-bed hospital with a 123-bed residential care facility, serving a population of approximately 23,000. It is one of two area Emergency Rooms serving a catchment area of about 70,000.
The site offers 24/7 X-ray, CT, ultrasound, and MRI services. Full-time physician support includes GPA, General Surgery, Psychiatry, OBGYN, and Orthopaedic Surgery. Short-term higher level of care is supported by ICU nursing and respiratory therapy.
Fort St. John, known as “The Energetic City,” is located at Mile 47 of the Alaska Highway. The city features numerous restaurants, cafés, a health food store, a performing and visual arts centre, a library, an art gallery, and theatre.
