Our ER doctors enjoy the security of an Alternative Payments Program model, ensuring a stable income and allowing them to focus on delivering exceptional care. This arrangement is exclusive to select ERs in BC, providing our physicians with financial peace of mind.

EKRH is the regional trauma and ICU referral centre, offering challenging cases that keep your acute care skills sharp while living in a rural setting. You will see a broad spectrum of emergency cases, collaborating with a dedicated team of allied health professionals, including mental health and substance use nurses, physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and respiratory therapists.

You will have opportunities to develop your teaching skills through local CME sessions and bedside teaching with residents and medical students. We support facility-wide initiatives with dedicated funding for quality improvement projects to enhance patient care outcomes.
