Job summary

Medavie Health Services West (MHSW) in Central Alberta seeks an EMR paramedic to provide non-emergency transport and patient care. You will operate vehicles, document care in reports, and collaborate with agencies while upholding safety and confidentiality standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Alberta Driver’s license class 1/2/4, current Alberta Paramedics registration, and MCP certifications. Shift hours apply, benefiting a not-for-profit safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Alberta Operators License class 1, 2 or 4 required.
• Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics required.
• Completion of Alberta Health Services MCP’s required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and skills to deliver optimum patient care per AOCP.
• Safely operate MHS-West vehicles in line with guidelines and regulations.
• Stocks and maintains vehicles to readiness at all times.
• Document all patient care in the electronic patient care report promptly.
• Work with outside agencies as a team in the patient’s interests.
• Follow the MHS-West chain of command.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.

Education

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Alberta Operators License class 1, 2 or 4.

Current registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
