A school board in Ontario is seeking an Emergency Educational Assistant to support students with diverse needs in various locations across the region. The role requires empathy, flexibility, and the ability to work with students individually and in groups. Successful candidates will possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and may need to provide current First Aid and CPR certification. This position is expected to commence as soon as possible and continue until June 2026, with an hourly pay of $30.92.
The UGDSB employs a team of approximately 4,000 dedicated staff who serve more than 35,000 students across 65 elementary and 11 secondary schools, as well as continuing education and adult learning centres in the counties of Dufferin, Wellington, and the City of Guelph. The UGDSB is seeking dynamic individuals to join as Emergency Educational Assistant. Under the direction of the Principal/Vice-Principal, this position supports students with diverse needs in the absence of a filled Educational Assistant vacancy, ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times.
All geographical areas of the Board including North Wellington, Centre Wellington, East Wellington, Guelph, Orangeville, Dufferin County and Shelburne. Applicants may select the school location(s) and/or geographic areas where they are interested in working.
$30.92 per hour (wage rate effective September 1, 2025), plus applicable vacation pay, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.
On call depending on need (3.25 hours or 6.5 hours per day).
As soon as possible and ending June 26, 2026 with the possibility of extension.
