Job summary

Horizon Health Network seeks a Nursing leader for the Upper River Valley Emergency Department. The RNCC will provide clinical leadership, mentor staff, and maintain high standards of patient care within a dynamic ED setting in New Brunswick.

Strong communication, teaching, and teamwork are essential for this permanent full-time role. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Nursing, NB registration, and 5+ years in emergency nursing, with evidence of leadership and change management

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or eligible for same (RN)
• Active registration with the province of New Brunswick (NBNU)
• At least 5 years of ED nursing experience in the last seven years
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
• Ability to implement evidence-based nursing practice

Responsibilities

• Attend workshops and in-services and relay information to staff
• Maintain certification of clinical skills
• Support staff and promote a professional practice environment
• Delegate tasks and prioritize care
• Develop daily patient care assignments based on patient needs
• Participate in staff orientation and education
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager on education and resource utilization
• Participate in performance appraisals
• Ensure cost containment and resource utilization is optimized
• Coordinate equipment maintenance with Nurse Manager
