Job summary

Northern Health in Prince George is seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Emergency Department team at University Hospital of Northern British Columbia. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, acting as a patient advocate while coordinating services with the care team.

The role supports discharge planning, education for patients and families, and collaboration with the ED team to manage complex conditions and safety concerns.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • 1 year of recent related care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
  • Coordinate health services and contribute to discharge and care planning.
  • Document care and responses per policies and ED expectations.
  • Consult with other health care providers as needed.
