Job summary

Providence Health Care is seeking full-time RN-RPNs for the Acute Behavioural Stabilization Unit (ABSU) at St. Paul’s Hospital in downtown Vancouver.

You will join an interdisciplinary team delivering short-stay admissions with strong focus on mental health and substance use care. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, care planning, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, social workers and other professionals to meet complex patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Two years' recent psychiatric nursing experience in a tertiary care emergency department or mental health facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Develop, implement and revise the plan of care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care.
