Job description

CAE Parc Aviation are currently recruiting for a renowned business airline in Dubai. We are looking for an experienced Head Of Finance in Dubai reporting directly to the GM.

We are seeking a Head of Finance and Administration, who will play a critical role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing and managing the financial operations and administrative functions of the company. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of activities designed to ensure the effective management and control of financial resources, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the facilitation of efficient office operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Head the Finance functions to support the General Manager of the Company in managing and controlling the business and facilitating the proper administration of the day activities of the office and the business. Provide leadership to team members under Finance and Administration accordingly
  • Implement proper systems, processes and procedures to ensure efficient Finance and Administration functions and give recommendations to management for continuous improvements
  • Implement and ensure proper internal controls and management of documentation, ensuring compliance with all local laws and regulations and accounting rules under International Financial Reporting standards
  • Maintenance of proper books of accounts and accounting records
  • Effective Control and Management of Cost Control initiatives and the Revenue Cycle, including the control and generation of accurate and timely invoicing
  • Proper control of company funds, management of Company Bank Accounts including the performance of monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
  • Monthly reporting of business results and management accounts to the General Manager, Group CFO and the Board of Directors
  • Be the right hand person of the General Manager in preparation of Budgets, Business Plans, Financial Analysis and in controlling performance against budgets.
  • Efficient execution of audits, liaising with Auditors at company level together with Group Head Office for consolidation purposes and coordinating with other 3rd party service providers.
  • Periodic submission of VAT Returns and compliance with other fiscal legislation
  • Monthly processing of Payroll and compliance with all laws and regulations relating to salaries and Labour Law.
  • Monthly Inter-Company reconciliations with Group Companies
  • Providing support to the General Manager of the Company on other projects and according to business exigencies
  • Supporting the Group CFO on projects and other group control functions as required by business exigencies.

Experience :

  • Have a proven track record in Finance Department managerial roles with at least 8 years’ experience in a Finance management position.
  • Have a recognised international qualification and warrant to practice as an Accountant
  • Proven experience and expertise in financial control and financial reporting
  • Have exposure and experience in working in multi-national groups and in multi-cultural environments
  • Have a good grasp of local fiscal laws and regulations and laws regulating payroll processing in the UAE
  • Be hands on, able to work on own initiative and must be a team player.
  • Multi-task and be able to manage different deadlines and priorities and execute all captioned responsibilities in parallel and in a seamless manner
  • Experience in the Aviation industry and working with Business Central or Microsoft NAV will be considered as assets.
