Job description

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Protecting aircraft from electromagnetic chaos – from EMI and ESD to HIRF and Lightning. ️
  • Making sure fuel tanks stay safe from explosions by keeping them lightning-proof.
  • Taming inter-system electromagnetic interference and making sure everything plays nicely together. ️
  • Reviewing and perfecting qualification documents on electromagnetics like a pro.
  • Diving into aircraft-level modifications and ensuring compliance with all the right regulations.
  • Collaborating with suppliers in design reviews to make systems sleek and cost-effective.
  • Getting hands-on with Continued Airworthiness projects and crafting clever risk-busting solutions.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience conquering the EMC world.
  • Familiarity with the big players: TC, EASA, FAA, and the potential to unlock DAD/DAR status.
  • Deep knowledge of electromagnetic fields, EMI/EMC, antennas, propagation, and signal integrity.
  • Expert-level understanding of essential regulations (14 CFR 25.954, 25.981) and standards (DO-160, SAE ARP).
  • EMA3D simulation skills
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives on finding innovative solutions.
