Are you a highly skilled and creative Embroidery Digitizer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming designs into high-quality embroidered products? We're looking for a talented individual to join our client's team and contribute to the creation of exceptional embroidered apparel and accessories.

This is a permanent opportunity, and will require the talent to work onsite at our client's manufacturing facility in Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Create production-ready embroidery files from various artwork formats, ranging from simple to complex designs.
  • Develop specialized embroidery files optimized for hat designs, understanding the unique challenges and requirements of different cap styles.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of stitch density and its interaction with diverse fabric types to ensure optimal quality, durability, and appearance of embroidered designs.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on digitized files to guarantee accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to production standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the digitizing process.
  • Manage and organize embroidery files efficiently.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality output.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in embroidery digitizing, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work, including significant experience with hat designs.
  • Proficiency in professional embroidery digitizing software (e.g., Tajima DG / ML, Wilcom, Pulse).
  • Expertise in vector file conversion to various embroidery formats (e.g., DST, EXP).
  • Strong understanding of stitch density, underlay, push / pull compensation, and other digitizing principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sensibility for design and quality.
  • Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Formal training or certification in embroidery digitizing is ideal.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as CorelDRAW and / or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with various embroidery machine brands and their specific file requirements.
