The Embedded Systems Developer will:
  • Contribute to industry-leading consumer audio-visual hardware and software products.
  • Develop product system software on microcontrollers and ARM-based processors.
  • Debug and bring up electronic prototype boards.
  • Implement software device drivers and low-level software on embedded systems.
  • Collaborate with external software contractors, QA, UI/UX, and technical support teams.
  • Work with contract manufacturers in Asia during product development.
  • Occasionally travel domestically and overseas.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
You Bring to the Team :
  • 3+ years of experience developing real-time low-level software on microcontrollers.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to read electronic schematics.
  • Familiarity with SPI, I2C, HDMI, USB, DDR4, and SDIO.
  • Working knowledge of Bluetooth audio.
  • Signal processing experience is a plus.
  • Experience with source control systems like GIT, Slack.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with test equipment and basic soldering skills.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging complex embedded software.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Kernel space; proficient in C, C++, Java, Go.
  • Experience developing production-quality software in a team environment.
  • Experience with audio/video software development is advantageous.
  • Interest in streaming media, Internet radio, and music services.
  • Knowledge of digital audio formats like AAC, WMA, FLAC, ALAC, MP3, and High-Resolution Audio.
