Socomec Group is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join the North America team. You will work with hardware and software engineers to develop controllers, embedded GUI interfaces, and test the products at device and system levels.

The role covers writing clean code in C/C++, integrating with industrial protocols like Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP, and BACnet/IP, and delivering clear documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development for real-time industrial automation systems.
• Experience with embedded Linux and Yocto project.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, and Python.
• Familiarity with Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP, BACnet/IP or SNMP.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for embedded Linux based microcomputer devices.
• Create embedded GUI interfaces for industrial products.
• Implement industrial communication protocols and test at device/system level.
• Handle all stages of the embedded software lifecycle.
• Prepare concise operational documentation such as manuals and online help.
• Provide support to production and service personnel.
