Job summary

Fortinet is seeking skilled C developers to enhance the FortiGate firewall, building the TLS stack and a robust UTM feature set including Anti-Virus, Web Filter, and Data Leak Prevention. You will join a dedicated team focused on high-performance networking software.

You will work primarily in Linux environments, write clean, maintainable code, and collaborate with global teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions for Fortinet’s customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in C/C++/Golang/Rust development.
• Experience developing software in Linux or UNIX-like environments.
• Knowledge of TLS, TCP/IP, POSIX APIs, and socket programming.
• Familiarity with source control systems (Git or others).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain software that powers our TLS stack and UTM feature set.
• Stay up to date on new developments in application-layer protocols and software practices.
• Promote and uphold best coding and design practices.
• Provide product improvement suggestions based on hands-on use of Fortinet products.
• Research and define new areas of technology to enhance existing or future products.
