Job summary

EPITEC in Kanata, Ontario, seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Software Test & Automation to join the ECG team, developing the software infrastructure for Ethernet connectivity, networking, security, and power management in next-generation vehicles. You will design and automate tests for embedded platforms, create test plans from requirements, and build automation scripts using Python and C/C++.

Collaboration across development teams will drive continuous quality improvements in mobility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 3+ years of software development and/or automation testing experience, preferably on embedded platforms.
• Working knowledge of C++ or C; experience with manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with distributed and multi-threaded systems and defect tracking/test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and automate software tests for embedded vehicle platforms.
• Create test plans and test designs from software requirements and architecture documents.
• Perform test execution, root-cause analysis, defect triage, and validation of fixes.
• Develop automation scripts and test applications using Python and C/C++.
• Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks, libraries, and tools.
• Analyze and report test coverage metrics.
• Collaborate with software developers, product owners, and test teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in continuous quality and process improvement initiatives.

Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Software Test & Automation to join the Enhanced Central Gateway (ECG) team This team develops the critical software infrastructure that enables Ethernet connectivity, networking, security, power management, and advanced application features in next-generation vehicles.

What You'll Do
