Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

Role Overview

As the leader of the Hardware & Embedded Middleware (HEM) Discipline Management Group, you will drive innovation and competitiveness. You will oversee the HEM processes, ensuring they are defined, maintained, and implemented across departments and projects, aligned with CENELEC standards. You will also manage the department's CENELEC competency and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Drive continuous improvement in measures and techniques.
  2. Participate in cross-functional workshops.
  3. Act as the process interface with other technical departments.
  4. Coordinate process changes with relevant process owners.
  5. Represent URS HEM CC and interface with GTS HEM process owners.
  6. Lead HEM transformation efforts, including Polarion usage.
  7. Manage CENELEC competencies within the department.
  8. Set up and support the E2 environment for HEM team members.
  9. Track licenses and ensure process homogeneity across projects.
  10. Monitor process compliance through audits and reporting.
  11. Support WPM in review preparations.
  12. Act as a change management agent, creating training materials and providing user support.
  13. Gather user feedback and evolve tools accordingly.
  14. Track KPIs and Lessons Learned for continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
  1. At least 8 years of relevant experience.
  2. University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, System Engineering, or related field.
  3. Knowledge of railway signaling technologies, including SelTrac CBTC.
  4. Extensive experience with CENELEC 5012x in CBTC industry.
  5. Ability to communicate complex topics to stakeholders.
  6. Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
  7. Knowledge of hardware and embedded middleware development processes.
  8. Proficiency with HW development tools.
  9. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  10. Strong interpersonal skills.
