Job summary

Blackbird Security in Vancouver, BC is seeking Elite Security Guards. The role focuses on protecting high-end sites, with duties including preventing theft, delivering customer service, detaining offenders, escorting trespassers, and reporting incidents.

Qualifications

• A Valid Security License is required.
• A Valid Advanced Security Training Certificate (Asset) is required.
• Experience with arrests and detentions is advantageous.
• Retail security experience is highly preferred.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected.
• Must own a black suit and tie.
• Willingness to attend meetings and additional training to improve skills.

Responsibilities

• Prevent shoplifter theft by establishing a strong security presence.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers and patrons.
• Arrest and/or detain shoplifters as required.
• Escort trespassers away from client premises.
• Perform safety and security duties with high professionalism and integrity.
• Complete incident reports for security purposes.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement as needed.
• Respond promptly to security and safety violations, property damage, and alarms.

Salary: $21-23 per hour

What You Will Do

• Prevent shoplifter theft by establishing a strong security presence

The Ideal Candidate

• Must be willing and comfortable to stand and patrol for the duration of the shift
