A.S.P. is looking for Conflict Resolution Guards who can provide highly visible, advanced-level security services in a professional, competent, and courteous manner. Successful applicants must work with integrity, respect, and take responsibility for the security and safety of the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

What you will do:

1. Patrol the Passenger Terminal Building on both the public and restricted sides;
2. Patrol PortsToronto facilities, including the tunnel and ferry terminals;
3. Patrol the airport perimeter (foot and vehicle) security barrier (external & internal) and report any deficiencies to the Airport Operations Communication Center;
4. Patrol the groundside curb, parking lots, and grounds around the airport;
5. Respond to calls for assistance from employees or at the direction of the Airport Operations Communication Center;
6. Carry and use Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) equipment as required;
7. Complete reports and logs on incidents, infractions, deficiencies, or irregularities noted during patrols;
8. Escort unauthorized persons out of restricted areas or off the premises;
9. Conduct general airside escorts as requested;
10. Provide assistance to emergency response personnel;
11. Assist the public with information and directions;
12. Maintain crowd control and public order within the airport;
13. Verify airport restricted area passes using mobile card readers;
14. Assist Traffic Control during peak times;
15. Conduct AVOP and RAIC enforcement;
16. Operate portable radios for communication;
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

1. Minimum of five (5) years experience in the North American security industry, with related security functions;
2. At least two (2) years experience in aviation security is an asset;
3. Graduate from a recognized community college in law enforcement, security administration, or related fields;
4. Physical fitness and experience assisting arrests;
5. Eligible to work in Canada;
6. Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills;
7. Ability to work under high stress and make quick decisions;
8. Licensed by the Province of Ontario as a Security Guard and maintain the license;
9. Valid G driver’s license with a clear abstract;
10. Ability to obtain and maintain AVOP-D and RAIC;
11. First Aid, Use of Force, CPR, and AED certifications;
12. Knowledge of relevant security policies, Acts, and legislation.
