Job Brief:
The Eligibility Administrator at Gold Leaf is a detail-oriented and highly motivated professional dedicated to delivering exceptional service. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely management of employee benefits, including verifying eligibility, processing enrolments, and maintaining records. Acting as a key liaison between clients, HR, and benefits vendors, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless and positive benefits experience for all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Eligibility Verification: Ensure employees meet eligibility criteria for benefits based on plan guidelines, company policies, and employment status (e.g., full-time, part-time, or contract).
- Benefits Administration: Accurately and efficiently process benefit enrolments, updates, terminations, and life event changes (e.g., marriage, birth of a child) within required deadlines.
- Employee Support: Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits eligibility, coverage options, claims processes, and plan details, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Compliance Management: Work closely with HR and benefits vendors to maintain adherence to federal, provincial, and company regulations, such as privacy laws and reporting standards (e.g., T4A issuance, CRA requirements).
- Data Integrity: Monitor, audit, and reconcile benefit plan data to maintain accuracy, identify discrepancies, and take corrective action as necessary.
- Vendor Liaison: Collaborate with insurance carriers and other benefits providers to resolve employee issues, negotiate terms, and ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Cost Management: Assist in analyzing benefits-related costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting budget planning for benefits programs.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing evaluations of benefits programs, providing recommendations to enhance offerings, improve employee satisfaction, and maintain competitiveness in the market.
- Special Projects: Contribute to or lead benefits-related projects, such as implementing new programs, transitioning vendors, or integrating benefits for acquired employees during mergers.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2+ years of benefits administration or HR experience with a solid understanding of employee benefits programs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS and benefits platforms; experience with BambooHR, Workday, or similar systems is a plus.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with employment laws, benefits regulations, and compliance standards.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail for accurate data management and reporting.
