Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in elevator and lift service and maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail are critical.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license required.

Job description

About the role

The Install and Service Technician is responsible for installation and service work for RAM Elevator and Lifts’ product lines. As a customer-facing role, this individual will interact with customers to ensure their needs are met and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. The Install and Service Technician will advise customers on both needed and proactive service offerings for installed products. Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are critical for this position.

This role requires travel to sites across northern Alberta, primarily in the greater Edmonton region. Travel to sites across North America may also be required occasionally to support dealer partners and hybrid markets.

Responsibilities

  1. Residential elevator and commercial lift installation, inspections, and service work
  2. Perform repairs as needed
  3. Provide excellent on-site customer service when interacting with contractors and customers
  4. Travel within Alberta to customer sites, including out-of-town trips
  5. Promote preventative maintenance plans
  6. Identify areas for continuous improvement and collaborate with management to implement solutions

Qualifications

  • Clear criminal background check
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in elevator and lift service and maintenance
  • Alberta Elevator Constructor Journeyman certificate is an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs multiple times a day
  • Familiarity with relevant elevator codes (e.g., CSA B44-13, CSA B355-09) is an asset
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • High attention to detail and diligence
  • Experience with various hand and power tools
  • Full Class 5 driver’s license
  • Experience towing trailers is an asset
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Must be at least 25 years old to be insured to drive company vehicles
  • Valid CSTS, First Aid, Fall protection training, and WHMIS certifications

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent
