In this pivotal elementary leadership position, you and your principal will spearhead sustainable initiatives that improve student achievement and enhance a safe and caring school culture through your work to implement the District's Education Plan . Some of your non-educational responsibilities will include overseeing procurement, maintaining student records, and managing timetables and schedules. Most importantly, based on research and best practices, you will foster an environment of instructional excellence, where staff thrive in helping students reach their full potential. Elementary Vice-Principals will also have a teaching assignment.
Your ability to build relationships will be essential to your success in this position. As a champion of equity and inclusion, you will help manage student conduct and draw parents / guardians into the school community. Furthermore, you bring a wide repertoire of skills including a well-developed sense of organization, effective time and task management, and astute problem solving and conflict resolution.
Along with having completed, or working towards, a Master's degree in a related field, you hold a valid B.C. Professional Teaching Certificate, have successful performance evaluations, and a positive employment record free of discipline and regular attendance. You have a dynamic portfolio of experiences, which you have gained through working in a variety of schools, communities, and roles.
