Location: Hay River, Princess Alexandra School

Divisional Region: The South Slave Divisional Education Council is looking for a positive and committed educator, capable and willing to work collaboratively and embrace the implementation of three key priorities in the South Slave schools and classrooms: literacy, numeracy and social responsibility.

Position

Teachers (1.0 FTE) - term for the 2025/26 school year

Specialization: Elementary School - Physical Education

Start date - August 25th, 2025 - June 26th, 2026

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education
  • Experience working with students with complex needs, socio-emotional regulation, behavioural challenges.
  • Familiarity with trauma informed care and working in Indigenous communities
  • Familiarity with Balanced literacy approaches

Compensation and Salary: Salary dependent on qualifications - ranging from $91,000 to $147,000 per year plus a very attractive benefits package including a Northern Allowance of approx. $5,348 and relocation expenses.
