Job summary

The Northeastern Catholic District School Board is seeking a School Principal for St. Joseph School, South Porcupine, Ontario.

This permanent full-time role requires a strong Catholic leadership foundation, collaboration with staff and parents, and a solid knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum. The successful applicant will foster equity, inspire excellence, and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment for Kindergarten to Grade 6 students.

Qualifications

  • Must be registered with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Principals' Course Part I and II completed or nearing completion.
  • Special Education Part I and Religious Education Part I assets.
  • Experience leading a K-6 Catholic school preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the school with a Catholic, inclusive and student-centered approach.
  • Foster an equitable, inclusive culture while aligning with the Ontario Curriculum.
  • Establish and monitor expectations, and drive continuous improvement with evidence.
  • Maintain open communication with staff, families and the wider community.

Salary: $146,696-$160,000/year

The Northeastern Catholic District School Board is looking for a dynamic school leader for this Kindergarten to Grade 6 school in South Porcupine, Ontario. Our principals and vice-principals must have commitment to the ideals of Catholic Schools; a collaborative leadership style; excellent communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and a sound knowledge of, and experience with, the Ontario Curriculum. We welcome individuals to apply for this position who are willing to answer the call to leadership, inspire others to excellence and ensure our schools are safe and supportive places to learn and grow.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Registered with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Principals' Course Part I and II (or be nearing completion)
  • Special Education Part I and Religious Education Part I would be an asset
