Job summary

Vancouver School Board is seeking an Elementary Principal to lead instructional excellence and foster an inclusive school culture across its 110 schools. You will align school goals with the VSB Education Plan and work with district leadership to drive student achievement and equity.

You will leverage your leadership experience to manage staffing, budgets, and school operations while engaging families and communities in a collaborative, respectful, and data-informed manner.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• B.C. Professional Teaching Certificate and successful performance evaluations are essential.
• A positive employment record and regular attendance are expected.
• Experience as a vice-principal or in school leadership roles is valued.
• Ability to lead equity and inclusion in a diverse district.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustainable initiatives to improve student achievement and a safe, inclusive school culture.
• Oversee student records, budgets, staffing, timetabling, scheduling, and school activities.
• Direct staff professional development and collaborate with stakeholders to implement the VSB Education Plan.
• Engage families and communities while ensuring governance and supervisory responsibilities meet union requirements.
