Job summary

Fort McMurray FMCSD seeks a temporary Mental Health Social Worker to support the Integrated School Support Program for students from EEP through Grade 6. The role provides wraparound social-emotional services to vulnerable students, starting ASAP through June 25, 2027.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Director of Inclusive Education, school staff, and community partners to implement SEL, health programming, and case management, building a supportive network to improve students'

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field.
Experience with elementary-aged children (EEP to Grade 6).
Solid understanding of SEL and mental health frameworks.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with partners.

Responsibilities

Deliver wraparound supports and evidence-based interventions for students in need.
Implement SEL frameworks to support emotional and social development.
Support physical education and nutrition programming foundational to student health.
Collaborate with the Director of Inclusive Education, school staff, and community agencies.
Act as a central contact to ensure access to a cohesive system of services.
