Palliser School Division invites applications for a Temporary, Full-Time Grade 2 Elementary Generalist Teacher at Trinity Christian School in Calgary. The anticipated start date is November 30, 2026, with an end date of June 30, 2027, or upon return of the incumbent.

This role supports students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 and emphasizes inclusive, Christ-centered education. Qualifications include Alberta Teaching Certificate, elementary curriculum experience, and a Vulnerable Sector Criminal

Qualifications

• Alberta Teaching Certificate is required.
• Experience administering elementary school curriculum.
• Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) required.

Responsibilities

• Establish objectives and learning outcomes per Alberta Education curriculum.
• Prepare materials and learning environments for activities.
• Instruct using varied teaching approaches suitable for grade 2.
• Observe and evaluate student progress with diverse tools.
• Maintain accurate student records as required.
• Maintain classroom order and safety under school policies.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff on student progress.
• Plan lessons with colleagues and participate in professional development.
• Support students with special needs and accessibility resources.
• Coordinate class projects, field trips, and guest speakers.
• Supervise and assist Education Assistants and support staff.
