Oxford Learning Aurora is seeking a Part‑Time Primary English & Math Teacher/Tutor to support students after school in Aurora, ON. The role focuses on in‑person instruction with pre‑planned lessons and training in proprietary methods, serving up to three students at once.

Candidates should reside near Aurora, have a relevant degree or certification, and be comfortable with after‑school hours (3:00 pm–8:00 pm).

Qualifications

• Fourth-year university students with tutoring experience considered.

• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
• Teach online and in‑person.
• Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Filling in post‑lesson notes.
• Completing daily student communication updates.
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.

Part‑Time Primary English & Math Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Passionate about puns? Excited by equations? Eager to help students succeed in English and Math? Gain valuable teaching experience with Oxford Learning Aurora, a learning centre that provides pre‑planned lessons and full training in proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher‑Tutor positions are during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm). A commitment for the whole school year is preferred; continuing through summer is even better. The role is in‑person and requires commuting to the Aurora location. This is not an online position; no relocation package is offered. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Applicants should reside in or near Aurora and be reliable.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification is an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum

Experience

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills to guide students’ understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
