Position: Elementary Education Aide (Kindergarten) Date Available: 2025-2026 School Year FLSA Status: Full Time - Hourly Location: Gesu Catholic School, 2450 Miramar Blvd. University Heights Ohio 44118 Position Rational: As a Preschool - 8 Blue-Ribbon School of Excellence and Ohio Designated STEM School of over 740 students, Gesu has a need for elementary school aides to work with our students and teachers in the primary grades. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Personally A strong commitment to the values of Catholic, Jesuit education A work ethic defined by high standards of ethics and personal conduct, honesty, integrity, equity and professionalism A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, growth mindset, and excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to engage in self-reflection with regard to performance and professional growth In the classroom Develop a rapport with students within a specific grade band, including fostering academic and skill development A commitment to implementing goals and accommodations as written in IEPs, including supporting classroom teachers in developing assessments and curriculum High proficiency with the use of technology for teaching and hands-on learning Ability to organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, progress reports, and parent communication Within our community A desire to collaborate to develop and maintain strong collegial relationships Ability to build on others’ ideas, capitalize on others’ strengths, and effectively share responsibility Maintain high levels of confidentiality in relation to private or privileged information Licensure Required: None; Ohio Early Childhood PreK-3 or K-8 License additional ODE certification or endorsements are a plus. Preferred Applicant: Associates or Bachelors from an accredited college or university in elementary education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment is a plus but not required. Successful prior experience for the appropriate grade level is a plus. Practicing Roman Catholic is preferred, not required.
