JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Job Summary - Essential Functions/Duties
Working under general technical guidance, an Electronic Technician III specializes in ground-based electronic systems and works on various types of electronic equipment and related devices through a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction, and testing.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
Range Position Description
The ideal candidate will possess Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of telemetry tracking systems and their associated subsystems. Primary job duties include, but are not limited to, providing operations, maintenance, and sustainment engineering support for telemetry, data transmission, and network systems under general technical guidance.
Real-time support responsibilities involve establishing end-to-end connectivity for pre-mission checks of voice, video, and data links. The candidate will monitor real-time missions for any abnormalities and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Experience with RF spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other electronic and communications test equipment is essential.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) and experience in terminating coaxial, network, and fiber optic cabling. A strong understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to interpret and redline them is required, as well as the capability to utilize schematics to install, modify, and repair equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and other relevant software is necessary. The candidate must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, and be available for varying and rotating shifts to meet mission support objectives, which may last from 6 months to 1 year.
Routine responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance on all equipment according to established procedures (Local Work Cards), operating procedures, technical manuals, and other official documentation. The candidate will also create trouble tickets using the Maximo database to track work performed and maintain regular communication with customers and counterparts through email, phone, virtual, and in-person meetings.
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance up to the Secret level. Job requirements mandate that candidates achieve and maintain certification in Communications Tower Climbing/Rescue, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, and forklift operations. Some travel may be required.

Requirements - Education, Technical, And Work Experience
An associate's degree or higher from an accredited college; or technical schooling with courses in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory; or a military equivalent and a minimum of seven years of hands-on experience are required for this position.
In addition, an Electronic Technician III must possess the following qualifications:
The incumbent must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $77,334 to $96,668 annually.

JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Employee will be required to work some shift work, at remote locations, and occasional over-night assignments. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. Outdoor duties may be performed on gravel or shingled roof. Climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, (anything heavier requires two or more people or mechanical assistance) are required. A government vehicle is used on an as-needed basis.
