Job summary

Aversan Inc. in Mississauga is seeking an Electronics Technician to join our aerospace electronics manufacturing team. You will work with ESD-sensitive products, assemble, test, and inspect aerospace electronics, and operate production test equipment.

This role requires a Electronics Technician credential, hands-on assembly and repair experience, and familiarity with DMM, power supplies, and test procedures. IPC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma/Certification in Electronics Technician, or equivalent.
  • Experience in assembly, troubleshooting, inspection and repair of electronics.
  • IPC certification preferred.
  • Electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of handling ESD sensitive products.
  • Experience with DMM, power supplies and electronic load.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble aerospace electronic products following detailed instructions.
  • Perform acceptance tests on electronic products.
  • Diagnose and repair failed electronics when required.
  • Operate and maintain production test equipment.
  • Follow process documentation for debugging and repair procedures.
  • Set up test equipment for product testing.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and perform required data entry.
  • Perform other duties as directed by production supervisor.

Electronics Technician

We are currently seeking a qualified Electronics Technician to join our team. The Electronics Technician role is ideal for someone with experience handling ESD-sensitive products, assembling and inspecting aerospace electronics products, performing tests and repairs, and operating and maintaining test equipment within an aerospace electronics manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble quality aerospace electronic products following detailed assembly work instructions.
  • Perform acceptance tests on electronic products.
  • Perform primary diagnosis and repair failed electronic products when required.
  • Operate and maintain production test equipment as required.
  • Utilize process documentation for various processes, including debugging and repairing procedures.
  • Set up test equipment for product testing.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures within the company guidelines.
  • Adapt to improving environment and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean work environment in accordance with safety procedures and best practices.
  • Perform data entry as required.
  • Other duties as required by production supervisor.
Basic Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma/Certification in Electronics Technician, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of year of experience in assembly, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electronic products.
  • IPC certification preferred.
  • Electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of handling ESD sensitive products.
  • Excellent knowledge of electronic equipment such as digital multimeter, power supply, and electronic load.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Good understanding of Engineering/Assembly drawings.
  • Soldering experience would be an asset.
  • Electrical/Mechanical aptitude would be an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced PC and Microsoft Office skills preferred.
  • Able to lift-up to 25 lbs.

Compensation : $36.00– $40.00 CAD (Hourly)
