Job summary

Viable Power Conversion Technologies is seeking a skilled Inspector to ensure quality of electronic and mechanical assemblies at the production site in Montreal. The role requires reading blueprints, performing go/no-go tests, and identifying defects with precise documentation.

Candidates should have IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-WHMA A-620E certifications, 5+ years of inspection experience, and strong attention to detail. On-site work with tight deadlines and collaboration with suppliers is expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more of experience inspecting electronic and mechanical assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Certified to IPC J-STD-001 for electrical assemblies
• Certified to IPC-WHMA A-620E for mechanical assemblies
• Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies
• Prepare reports and audit findings
• Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
• Review and process claims against suppliers
• Conduct quality control assessment of testing techniques

Responsibilities

• Inspect electronic components and assemblies to ensure adherence to specified requirements
• Check final assembly for finish, labelling and packaging methods
• Collect, record and summarize inspection results
• Check mechanical dimensions and perform go-no-go electrical tests
• Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Recommend corrective or enforcement action
• Review and process claims against suppliers
• Conduct quality control assessment of testing techniques
• Prepare reports and audit findings
• Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
