Job description

Sells merchandise and assists members in the major appliance, jewelry, and electronics areas of the sales floor. You’ll answer member questions, demonstrate merchandise, and stock and maintain department products to ensure they remain in top condition.

On a daily basis, you’ll provide prompt and courteous member service, demonstrate product features, and assist with loading items into carts. You’ll also keep abreast of technology trends by reading industry magazines and experimenting with products to understand functions and specifications.

About the role: Electronics/Majors Sales Assistant

You’ll communicate with the Area Manager regarding quantity, status, price, delivery, and promotions of merchandise. You’ll follow merchandising standards and practices by setting up, cleaning, and maintaining product displays—aligning and facing products to the front, collecting stray items, and stocking to maintain high product levels.

Additional duties include checking and approving product returns, creating and verifying product signage, participating in merchandise moves by reviewing lists for forklift drivers, and organizing security lock-ups. You’ll also maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment by clearing debris from the sales floor and security areas.
