Electromechanical technician

Does being at the heart of the action and managing several simultaneous projects motivate you? Then the job of electromechanical technician is for you! Your main mission will be to ensure the optimal operation of production equipment and systems. Tasks include diagnosing, using specialized equipment, and analyzing the condition of systems in order to improve them and plan appropriate maintenance interventions. Repairing faults and breakdowns on complex equipment is also part of your responsibilities, as is compliance with and enforcement of machine safety standards. This key position within Soucy will enable you to take up technical challenges and improve our performance!

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:

• Program, test and install process control systems, including PLCs and frequency drives
• Carry out process modifications on automated equipment while ensuring compliance with machine safety standards
• Calibrate instrumentation and electrical power
• Diagnose and repair PLC systems used to supervise automated cells and HMI operator interfaces
• Diagnose and carry out complex repairs on CNC machines and other automated production equipment
• Train, support and monitor the integrity of the maintenance team's work methods
• Document and update completed projects and work instructions
• Design and implement preventive maintenance programs

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:

• DEC in industrial electronics or DEP in a related field with relevant experience
• 5 to 10 years' experience with CNC machines
