Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Manager to lead on-site coordination within our Building and Operations team. You will oversee multiple activities and deadlines to align client, team and project needs on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, from early stages to completion.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical and electrical experience in the construction industry.
• University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• Proven track record of mechanical and electrical coordination and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Strategically support the project team with planning and coordination for all on-site mechanical and electrical activities while ensuring compliance with specifications, requirements and codes.
• Coordinate drawings and information to eliminate interference issues.
• Maintain schedule requirements, priorities, RFIs, shop drawings, contracts and completion documents.
• Share expertise with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Lead mechanical and electrical coordination and interference meetings.
• Compile and complete company-wide project reports.

As a Mechanical and Electrical Manager working in the Building and Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you manage several activities and deadlines to gain a clearer picture of client, team and project needs. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will make a significant impact on our projects by developing a talented team and staying closely engaged with individual projects

What you will do

• Strategically support the project team with planning and coordination for all on-site mechanical and electrical activities while keeping compliance of specifications, requirements and codes top of mind.
• Put your proactive problem-solving skills to work to coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference issues.
• Utilize your passion for organization through the maintenance of schedule requirements and priorities, mechanical and electrical RFI’s, shop drawings, contracts and project completion documents.
• Share your mechanical and electrical expertise when working with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Be the go-to person for the organization and facilitation of mechanical and electrical coordination and interference meetings.
• Compile and complete companywide project reports.

This role could be for you if you have
