Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a contract position based in Markham, ON. You will assemble small mechanical and electronic components, using hand and power tools in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.

You will read English work instructions, meet production targets, and follow safety procedures while maintaining high quality. Basic Excel/Word skills and ability to lift up to 25 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and understand English work instructions.
• Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic electronics knowledge and experience with through-hole assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small mechanical and electronic components.
• Perform manual through-hole assembly on electronic products.
• Use hand and power tools, including torque drivers.
• Read and follow assembly instructions and documentation in English.
• Lift and move materials up to 25 lbs.
• Use basic computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Meet production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
