The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for troubleshooting and preventive/predictive maintenance on conveyor and sorter systems. Acts as a senior technician at the Ontario, CA site, mentoring lower-level employees. There are 1 day shift and 1 second shift openings, working Sunday to Friday, from 4:30 pm to 1:00 am. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Tasks And Qualifications

Join Dematic in Ontario, CA as an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4, maintaining advanced conveyor and sorter systems.

What You Will Do in This Role
  • Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), ensuring proper belt tracking, component adjustments, and lubrication.
  • Perform preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures to keep equipment efficient.
  • Use electrical testing tools to troubleshoot circuitry and ensure proper operation.
  • Build and close work orders in the asset management system, recording labor, maintenance, and parts used.
  • Troubleshoot conveyance issues, determine needed resources, and implement solutions.
  • Manage spare parts inventory for timely repairs.
  • Perform complex maintenance and testing to meet specifications.
  • Train customers on equipment operation, fostering collaboration.
  • Respond promptly to service calls, addressing faults with expertise.
  • Identify and solve problems to minimize operational disruptions.
What We Are Looking For
  • High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree or vocational training is preferred.
  • Specialized skill certifications are highly valued.
  • 5-7 years of senior-level technical experience.
  • Proven success in responsibilities and key tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills with onsite and Dematic leadership.
  • Experience leading projects and teams, advising on maintenance operations.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and handle materials and equipment in various conditions.
  • Proficiency in climbing ladders and working in confined or challenging environments.
