Job summary

Veoneer Canada Safety Systems is seeking a hands-on Electro/Mechanical Maintenance Technologist to perform preventative maintenance, repair, and installation on diverse production equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and robotic systems while supporting uptime and process improvements.

Ideal candidates hold a 3-year Electro/Mechanical Technologist Diploma with pneumatics and PLC knowledge, SMT experience, and strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• 3 year Electro/Mechanical Technologist Diploma.
• Working knowledge and experience in pneumatics.
• Working knowledge of PLC controls.
• SMT experience required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance, repair and implementation of work orders on diverse production equipment.
• Troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic control circuit.
• Troubleshooting mechanical failures.
• Troubleshooting robotic and servo systems.
• Heavy emphasis on machine electrical assistance.
• Manage activities and track results using Leading 2 Lean.

We run a three shift operation. This role will likely be on the midnight shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am, however candidates must be available to work on any shift. This is a unionized position and the hourly rate is $39.87.
