Job summary

The City of Toronto is seeking a skilled Electrician for permanent, full-time work at Kipling Yard and Nashdene Yard locations. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across City facilities and parks, with supervision of contractors and training of staff.

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of $45.62 and must hold a valid Ontario Class 1 0? G Driver’s license and relevant electrical qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must possess and be able to maintain a current Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician in accordance with Ontario regulations.
• Considerable experience in a wide range of electrical systems including maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Must possess and be able to maintain a valid Province of Ontario, Class G Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled tasks in installation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems for City facilities and parks.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, repairs, maintains, connects and tests electrical/electronic systems.
• Prepares sketches and specifications and maintains records and reports.
• Oversees work of contractors and trains staff to ensure compliance with standards.
