About the Opportunity

The Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment. Duties include installing phone and data cables, electrical renovations, and new installations. The electrician troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs complex electrical and electronic systems, installs new electrical equipment, and ensures compliance with Canadian and Provincial Codes.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Grade XII and valid Nova Scotia Construction Electrician Journeyman Certification
  • At least one year of post-Journeyman experience; four years preferred
  • Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and installation of various electrical systems and new equipment
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and Safety Codes
  • Training in WHMIS, Confined Space Awareness, Fall Protection, Arc Flash, First Aid, Lock & Tag Out, Infection Control is an asset
  • Additional language skills, especially French, are an asset

Hours
  • Full-time, permanent; 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

Eligible candidates may receive benefits including health, dental, travel, disability, and life insurance, along with a defined benefit pension plan.

This position currently offers a Market Adjustment of approximately $170.62 biweekly, subject to periodic review.
