Jardeg Construction is currently recruiting for local Electricians to join the Imperial Oil team on site in Cold Lake, Alberta, on a 4 days on, 3 days off shift with 10 hours a day schedule.

Imperial Oil Cold Lake has been in operation for 45 years, employing nearly 400 employees and over ~1000 contracted workers, including indigenous businesses. Covering 780 square kilometers (about 300 square miles), Cold Lake is one of the largest thermal in situ operations globally, supplying our Strathcona Refinery and other refineries across Canada and the US, supporting fuel, asphalt, and product creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow directions and be receptive to training and mentoring.
  • Identify and proficiently install a wide range of material components.
  • Demonstrate expert conduit skills.
  • Plan and install circuitry effectively.
  • Read and understand drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Plan and install control systems.
  • Size, plan, and install electrical services proficiently.
  • Handle multiple types of installations with expertise.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Comply with hazardous location requirements.
  • Ensure high workmanship standards from all direct reports.
  • Use multi-meter, Meggar, Phase Rotation meter, and AMP-Meter proficiently.
  • Maintain ARC Flash awareness.
  • Mentor junior apprentices.
