Jardeg is recruiting an Electrician Journeyperson to join Heartland Constructors on the CNRL Horizon Maintenance team near Fort McMurray, Alberta.The Journeyperson base hourly rate is $52.07. This is a temporary position ending approximately October 1, 2025 on 7 days on, 7 days off rotation. Camp accommodation and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs) are provided by the company.

Electricians install, alter, repair, and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarms for all types of buildings, structures, and premises.



Responsibilities

  • Be able to take directions, and receptive to training and mentoring.
  • Expertly identify and able to proficiently install almost all material components.
  • Expert conduit skills.
  • Expert with circuitry planning and installations.
  • Expertly read and comprehend drawings and specifications.
  • Expert control systems planning and installation.
  • Adhering to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Hazardous location requirements.
  • Proficient multi-meter, Meggar, Phase Rotation meter and AMP-Meter usage.
  • Proficiency in ARC Flash awareness.
  • Mentor junior apprentices.



Minimum Requirements

  • This role requires an employment verification check due to access to nuclear substances.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Certified Electrician Journeyperson.
  • CSO
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor.
  • Basic Rigging
