Job summary

C.P. Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrician for field work at CNOOC - Long Lake in Alberta. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and installing electrical infrastructure, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Applicants must hold a Journeyman Electrician certificate and travel may be required. Camp accommodations are provided; drivers license and safety certifications are required as listed.

Qualifications

• Experience working on electrical infrastructure in industrial settings is preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow electrical schematics and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Diagnose condition of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Recommend best-fit solutions for existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Service and repair existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Construction of new trade infrastructure.
• Assembly and installation of new and replacement electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Communication of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Documentation of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
• Follow safety guidelines, approved processes and procedures on the job site.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
• Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.
• Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.

Location: CNOOC - Long Lake

Shift Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off

Hours Per Day: 12

Accommodations: Camp accommodation provided.

Travel: Not Provided - Travel to site at your own Expense

Trade / Scope Specific responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

1. Inspection of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.


2. Diagnose condition of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.


3. Perform preventative maintenance on existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.

Applicants must already hold the following certifications to be eligible for this position. If the successful candidate does not already possess these certifications, they will be required to obtain them at their own expense prior to commencing work.

General Certifications Required:

1. Valid Class 5 Driver's License -


2. Valid Drivers Abstract - No more than 6 demerit points


3. Valid Electrician Journeyman Certificate
