Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario. The role involves troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of plant equipment, with 10–12 hour shifts, four days per week.

You will earn 75 CAD per hour before overtime, plus a $30 per day meal allowance when lodging is required, and paid travel. Hotel accommodations and flights are provided when required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid 442A certificate.
• Min 1 year industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated PLC programming experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic or pneumatic equipment and related systems.
• Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for repair of plant equipment and facilities.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs on fans, pumps, and auxiliary systems.
• Follow local and national electrical codes and read electrical drawings.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and controls components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and manufacturer specs.
• Demonstrate PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems; run power lines per safety codes.

Job description

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario.

This position will require you to work 10-12 hour shifts, 4 days per week when assigned to a project.

You will earn:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide troubleshooting skills for the expedient repair of all plant equipment and facilities.
• Building maintenance and repairs including fans, pumps, aux. systems
• Knowledge of local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment as required.
• Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of relay logic, ladder diagrams & controls components.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics as well as follow diagrams, sketches, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications.
• Strong understanding of PLC troubleshooting/programming
• Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
• Ability to run power lines to production or service equipment according to tables and safety codes.

Skills & Qualifications:
