Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario. Shifts are 10-12 hours, 4 days per week when on project. Earn $75 per hour before overtime, plus a $30 per day meal allowance when lodging is required, and paid travel up to 4 hours.

Hotel accommodations and flights provided when required. Responsibilities include troubleshooting plant equipment, maintenance of electrical and control systems, PLC work, and reading schematics.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid 442A certificate.
• Minimum 1 year industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic equipment.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and follow diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for expeditious repair of plant equipment and facilities.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs on fans, pumps, and aux. systems.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams & controls components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
• Demonstrate PLC troubleshooting/programming capabilities.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems components.
• Run power lines to production or service equipment per tables and safety codes.

Job description

This position will require you to work 10-12 hour shifts, 4 days per week when assigned to a project.

You will earn:

• $75 per hour before overtime
• $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
• Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
• Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide troubleshooting skills for the expedient repair of all plant equipment and facilities.
• Building maintenance and repairs including fans, pumps, aux. systems
• Knowledge of local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment as required.
• Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of relay logic, ladder diagrams & controls components.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics as well as follow diagrams, sketches, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications.
• Strong understanding of PLC troubleshooting/programming
• Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
• Ability to run power lines to production or service equipment according to tables and safety codes.

Skills & Qualifications:
