Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Industrial Electricians for an upcoming assignment in Southwest Ontario. You will work 10-12 hour shifts, 4 days per week.

Earn $75 per hour before overtime with a $30 per day meal allowance when lodging is required and comprehensive travel accommodations including flight and hotel when required. Candidates must hold a valid 442A certificate and have at least 1 year of industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid 442A certificate.
• Min 1 year industrial electrician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic or Pneumatic equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for repair of plant equipment and facilities.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs (fans, pumps, aux. systems).
• Read and interpret electrical codes, materials properties, and diagrams.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and controls components.
• Read electrical schematics and follow manufacturer instructions and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and program PLCs; work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Run power lines to production or service equipment following safety codes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide troubleshooting skills for the expedient repair of all plant equipment and facilities.
• Building maintenance and repairs including fans, pumps, aux. systems
• Knowledge of local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment as required.
• Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of relay logic, ladder diagrams & controls components.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics as well as follow diagrams, sketches, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications.
• Strong understanding of PLC troubleshooting/programming
• Knowledge and experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
• Ability to run power lines to production or service equipment according to tables and safety codes.

Skills & Qualifications:
