Job Responsibilities

Self-motivated and able to work independently, you will work at the journeyman level to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and calibrate a variety of electrical and electronic equipment including Programmable Logic Controllers and SCADA Systems in Water and Sewer Treatment Facilities. Additional duties may be assigned as needed in other departments.

Qualifications
  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman Electrician certification
  • 3 to 5 years of journey level experience
  • Knowledge of electronic repair and maintenance principles and practices
  • Proven experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, SCADA systems, and computer use
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License in good standing and maintained
  • Electrical Certificate of Qualifications License
  • Willingness to obtain Water & Waste Water Certification and other Ministry of Environment certificates as required
  • Knowledge of electrical safety laws, regulations, and rules, including lockout procedures
  • Proficiency in operation of computers and standard software applications
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to solve practical problems
