Overview

Join Our Team as a Licensed Electrician at Johnson Electric! Location: Stratford, ON (onsite)

Our next Licensed Electrician will be responsible for the programming, installation, and startup of new or modified production and test equipment. Your expertise in electrical systems, CNC/PLC controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be essential in maintaining high-performance manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Maintain and repair production equipment and facilities
  • Install, debug, and start up new or modified machinery
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on CNC/PLC equipment and Fanuc robots
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and company policies
  • Organize and maintain the maintenance department
  • Support planned maintenance and emergency repairs
  • Train new hires and apprentices on electrical standards
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams
  • Ensure quality and efficiency targets are met
  • Perform other related duties as required
What We’re Looking For
  • Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (442A or 309A)
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in CNC machining and automated assembly
  • Strong hands-on skills in electrical assembly, machine repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, Fanuc robots, welding, and manual machining
  • Understanding of automotive systems and quality requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High integrity and a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience with equipment documentation systems and technical manuals
  • Familiarity with IATF16949/ISO9001 standards
  • Leadership in continuous improvement projects
