JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a certified electrician for full time day shifts at our Winnipeg facility. We offer $44.82 per hour and overtime after 8-hour shifts; 10hr shifts can be considered. PLC and VFD training are provided if needed.

SCHEDULE:

Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Sunday - to Thursday 8:00am to 4:00PM

Must be available to be on call on rotations.

POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, instrumentation and controls on various types of equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and electrical code specifications.
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders and other electrical components.
• Ability to work up to and including 600VAC systems and equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot PLC5, RS logic, RS view, Allen Bradley controls, Factory talk, Device Net & Ethernet systems.
• Work independently when required, and as part of a team when appropriate.
• Troubleshoot and solve a variety of problems during the shift.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Promote and comply with Health and Safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned - Indoor and Outdoor.
• Overtime Available.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Electrician ticket required - Trade certificate - 442A or 309A.
• Proof of Apprenticeship.
• Proven track record in troubleshooting, knowledge of PLC's, VFD's and soft starts.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC's, VFD's and soft starts will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer knowledge is an asset.
• Sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Accustomed to working with computerized maintenance and inventory reporting systems.
