Job summary

Interior Health's Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC is seeking an Electrician to join the Plant Services team. Working at the journeyman level, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electrical and electronic systems that support patient care and daily operations.

You will review project requirements, read blueprints, prepare materials, and perform preventative and predictive maintenance in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
  • Two (2) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade electrical and electronic systems supporting patient care.
  • Review project requirements, interpret blueprints and specifications, prepare materials and equipment.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and ensure safety codes and standards are followed.

Position Summary
We are seeking an Electrician to join our Plant Services team in Williams Lake, BC.

Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) is a community hospital within Interior Health and plays an important role in meeting the healthcare needs of the people in the Williams Lake and surrounding areas. Plant Services as a whole provides services and support for the safety and comfort of patients, staff, and visitors by maintaining the physical environment, grounds and systems.

Your Role:
As an Electrician, you\'ll play a vital role in keeping our healthcare facilities safe, reliable, and fully operational. Working at the journeyman level, you\'ll install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a wide range of electrical and electronic systems that support patient care and daily operations.

In this hands-on role, you\'ll review project requirements, interpret blueprints and specifications, prepare materials and equipment, and complete electrical work in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards. You\'ll also perform preventative and predictive maintenance, diagnose and resolve electrical issues, and help ensure our facilities continue to provide a safe and dependable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your technical expertise, commitment to quality, and focus on safety will make a meaningful difference every day.

Position Information:
This position works Tuesday to Saturday day shift from 08:00 to 16:00 and qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package including:

Qualfications
• Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of British Columbia. Two (2) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• B.C. Class B Field Safety Representative (FSR) Certificate may be required, depending on site-specific requirements.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
